Energy and Climate
Last Session "Ideas of Energy" with Anders Levermann

Dear friends of the Ideas of Energy discussion series,
After intensive discussions on justice, geopolitics, science, and history, we are approaching the finale of our discussion series—and are delighted to invite you to the last event of Ideas of Energy:
Energy and Climate with Anders Levermann, physicist and professor of climate system dynamics at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK)The fight against the climate crisis is inextricably linked to the question of energy: What role do fossil fuels and CO₂ budgets, technological innovation, and political will play? Where does Germany stand – and what is needed to ensure that the energy transition also becomes a climate transition? Together with Anders Levermann, we would like to take a look at the interactions between energy and climate – and discuss the dynamics, tipping points, and opportunities for change that science sees today.
Date: Wednesday, December 17, 2025
Time: 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (followed by a reception)
Location: Dezernat Zukunft, Chausseestraße 111, 10115 Berlin
The event will be held in English and exclusively on site.
Due to limited space, we kindly ask you to register in advance.
In six events, we have examined the topic of energy from very different perspectives, and now we look forward to a joint conclusion – with you!
Best regards
Andrea Binder (FU Berlin), Zoë Johnson (GPPi) und Timm Leinker (Dezernat Zukunft)
