Offshore Finance at EISA 2026

At the EISA Pan-European Conference in Lisbon, Andrea Binder presented new research on the role of Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the international offshore financial system.

From 1–4 September 2026, Andrea Binder joined the EISA Pan-European Conference in Lisbon. She presented Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the Offshore System: Rising Stars or Empty Shells?, a paper co-authored with Matteo Calabrese and Christopher Olk.

Andrea Binder also joined the roundtable The (New) International Order: Neo-Feudal or Neo-Royalist, Oligarchic or Kleptocratic?, discussing how concepts such as oligarchy and kleptocracy can help us think about changes in the international order.
